My brother, Cason coaches football. Right now, he is coaching at Lake Erie College.
Hello Great Lake & Niagara Falls is only a short 3 hour road trip. So it was a must that I go visit.
Cason took us around to different areas in the Painesville are to hike and to view Lake Erie. Ya’ll Great Lakes are like looking into the Ocean. It goes on farther than you can see. Just breath taking.
We ate dinner at a local place on the water.
I got the special stuffed meatloaf, oh my gosh. It was the best meatloaf I have ever had.
And this view of the sunset was unbelievable.
After road tripping to Upstate New York, we didn’t get a hotel room. Instead, we camped out on another Great Lake.
We stayed on the US side of Lake Ontario at 4 Mile State Park. Even though the signs read “Don’t swim in Great Lake” we did. I mean, how could we pass it up.
First, I’ve your planning a trip to Niagara Falls, make sure you have a passport.
The Falls are so much prettier on the Canadian side. I promise, it’s completely worth paying the tolls.
If you’re of age, Niagara on the Lake is full of Wineries.
We made it to two different ones:
Inniskillin, Which I highly recommend tasting the Ice Wine flight. They let the grapes freeze on the vine before making the wine. And oh my gosh, its so good. Its a sweet wine. We got a bottle to drink over the holidays with my sister, who was unable to come.
Riverview Cellars, is a small winery. The wine is still as good as the first. We didn’t taste any Ice wine here. I tasted the sweeter wines while my brother tasted the reds. I’ve learned, I’m not a red wine girl. I love the sweet wines. I did grab a bottle from here that I plan on drinking at a girls night.
We spent our last day hiking.
We started early, probably about 8:30. Which I recommend, Because it got busy on our way back up.
The trail we pick was the, Whirlpool trail.
Before going I would workout a little bit. The way down was a breeze. The way up was a different story, 19 flights of stairs up & I wanted to kill myself. Not even lying, it was written all over my face.
The views on the trail on my gosh worth the entire trip. I’m all about exploring & seeing as much of this world as I can. I feel like I’ve barely seen anything yet.
I’d love all your recommendations for hiking and camping in Utah & Arizona
